ABOUT US

Founded by transformational executives from the environmental sector, the Hone Collective helps environmental organisations and leaders grow capability, solve problems and drive collective action for nature.

Our senior industry experts – the Hone Associates – bring deep experience working in environmental organisations across functions, from finance and operations to ecology and environmental markets. Our purpose is to collect and share this knowledge to uplift and scale the sector.

Through mentoring, workshops, fractional expertise, facilitated cross-sector collaboration and tailored advisory support, we work alongside our partners to create more effective, more impactful environmental outcomes. Our approach is people-centric, hands-on and agile – embedding capability and creating safe, structured spaces to overcome inertia and move the environmental sector forward, together.
OUR TEAM
LIANNE ELLIFFE
Managing Director
I’ve always felt deeply connected to the environment, but it was only later in my career that I had the privilege of working directly in the sector. Through my work in projects, leadership and change, I’ve seen how capable, supported people are central to creating lasting environmental outcomes.

At The Hone Collective, my focus is on strengthening the confidence, clarity and capability of leaders and organisations working for environmental good. I’m passionate about helping people navigate complexity, collaborate effectively and deliver meaningful impact - because when we invest in the people doing the work, we build stronger organisations and better outcomes for landscapes, communities and the future.
PETER FLOTTMANN
Director
Having worked for more than 30 years in agribusiness across corporate and not-for-profit organisations, I transitioned into the environment sector. It felt like a natural step and came at a time of major change, with new markets emerging, investor interest growing, and global awareness increasing around mainstreaming nature, building scale, and the power of collaboration for impact.

Yet many structural challenges remain. We must continue building capability and capacity among those already working in the sector, as well as future leaders - helping people think differently and shift mindsets. The environment deserves nothing less.
BRENDAN FORAN
Executive Chair
Having worked in a variety of roles in a diverse range of sectors over three decades, I have found myself drawn to the people and challenges of the environment and land sector.

I see first hand how healthy country is about healthy communities and healthy people. When people have the right tools, resources and support good things happen for nature and the community.

I like to see my job as helping make this happen. This work continues to inspire me, as I see the real difference it can make for people, landscapes and future generations.
